The Law No. 158-01 (modified by Law 195-13) on promoting Tourism Development indicates in its content several tourist poles of low development and new poles in high potential provinces and localities, as well as tax incentives for development and exploitation of hotel projects throughout the country.

 

For example, by way of example and not limitation, the following tourist places benefit from said Law: The Tourist Pole IV, expanded: Barahona, Bahoruco, and Pedernales (decree No. 322-91, dated August 21, 1991); The Tourist Pole VIII, expanded, which includes the province of San Cristóbal; Peravia province; The Tourist Pole of the province of Samaná (decree No. 91-94, of March 31, 1994); The Tourist Pole of the province of El Seybo and its municipalities.
